1.) Quickly explain what your user name means.
Well, I think I've already explained it to the both of you, but here goes again for good measure. Basically, it's a made-up name from elementary school, as we all played at being aliens. It mutated into a secret code name for passing "confidential" notes in middle school, and gradually became my online identity. The 42 was just added on there after 'zutulu' was apparently already taken at some site (probably by me in some forgotten venture). And, as anyone will know, 42 is the answer to the ultimate question about life, the universe, and everything. What the question is...well, that's a different matter.

2.) How much tea do you currently have in your possession? What kinds are they?
8 boxes, and one almost empty loose-leaf bag.
They are: ceylon cinnamon orange, chai, english breakfast, irish breakfast, caramel black tea (the looseleaf one), orange and spice, rooibos red, madagascar vanilla red (vanilla rooibos), and yorkshire.

3.) What is your favorite kind of tea?
Ooh, toughie. But I think I'll go for Yorkshire when I'm wanting something comforting, or rooibos when I'm wanting something more fruity/herbal.

4.) How do you prefer to prepare your tea?
Herbels just get the sugar treatment, whereas black tea gets both sugar and milk. Better yet, sugar and cream. Even better yet, when I'm wanting a slightly more caramel taste to it, the sugar is brown sugar. Mmmm.

5.) What is your favorite movie?
Owwy. Trying to choose favorites from soooooo many awesome ones makes my head hurt. But I'll go with one that has a bonus of nostalgia value for me, with it being a childhood obsessively-rewatched movie that still retains its magic: 'Robin Hood: Price of Thieves'.

6.) What is your favorite song?
Okay, that's just going to far. *flails* I can't choose! Eeeeeeek! *randomly tosses out another nostalgia-laden song that still is adored after an hour of repeat* How about (Don't Fear) The Reaper by Blue Öyster Cult? :D

7.) What is your favorite TV show?
Ahahahaha. Aahhhhhh. Okay, choosing favorites just kinda scares me >.> Humdiddly um. Doctor Who? A lovely forty year tradition to sort through on that one with many different styles for many different moods.

8.) What is your favorite book?
*sobs* Dude, this interview thing is pure torture! Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Oh bugger. Well, I'll go for Jane Eyre from Charlotte Brontë.

9.) Who is your favorite character of all time (it can be from anything)?
*diez* I can't even attempt this one...

10.) Tell us an interesting fact about yourself, or something you think we should know.
My obsessions tend to be intense and somewhat flitting, although they are only fitting because I find some new obsession that's too intense to fully be obsessed with the old obsession. I do retain a deepseated adoration for all things that I've obsessed with at some point or other, even though they may not currently be my main obsession.

Your username is made of awesome. So cute! It took me for-freaking-ever to read your name as zutulu instead of Zulu though. Heh.

madagascar vanilla red (vanilla rooibos)

I've never had that. Is it any good?

'Robin Hood: Price of Thieves'.

Not 'Robin Hood: Men In Tights'? ;) I haven't seen 'Prince of Thieves' in ages, but I remember watching it several times with my dad.

(Don't Fear) The Reaper is a great song! It reminds me of River Tam for some reason...

I'm sure ailillvalkyrie has or will tell you that Jane Eyre is one of her favorites. I only read it in high school and probably didn't give it a fair chance at the time...so I'm going to have to check it out again sometime. Heh. *ducks*

*nods in complete understanding* You're not monosomethingsomething (I can't think of the word right now.) with your loves, yeah?

Okay, okay. I realize how impossible those questions are. You made it through though! Yay! Now for the gauntlet... ;)

Yay indeed! :D And no worries, such is life in the world of technology. Hee.

Hehehe, it was a few years after I created the name that I first came across Zulu. My first thoughts were along the lines of "omgwtf, they ripped off my name!"

Is it any good?
Mmm, yes indeed! Mighty fine indeed. It's put out by Celestial Seasonings. Yum.

Not 'Robin Hood: Men In Tights'? ;)
hehehehe, I will admit that one was one of the movies to come to mind while pondering this question.

Now that's an association I haven't made yet. It's mostly just the song in my mind, sheer enjoyment without much fandom association. Although, I will admit, a bit of Supernatural has creeped in, especially since they've used it on the show, along with a few other BÖC songs.

Hee, oh yes, we've already touched upon that subject ;)

Eeeek, yes, yes you must! It's understandable if it being an assignment sucked the life out of it. That happens to far too many good books.

You're not monosomethingsomething (I can't think of the word right now.) with your loves, yeah?
*nods* Monofandomous. Exactly.

Now for the gauntlet... ;)
I've always wanted a gauntlet. Handy things to challenge people to duels with ;)

You never know...maybe you join the Doctor in the future and go back in time, meet an African tribe, and you save the day so they name their tribe after you. Later on, Europeans come and get the name recorded wrong (they always do that), and voila, they stole your name. Yay for time paradoxes?

It really does sound good..I'm a sucker for any kind of drink with vanilla in it.

hehehehe, I will admit that one was one of the movies to come to mind while pondering this question.

Aww, Cary Elwes and hilarity. *luffs*

All the more reason to watch Supernatural! I think it reminds me of River because the first time I heard it was on a Firefly fanmix. Maybe. Who knows...

ee, oh yes, we've already touched upon that subject ;)

Ooooh! Now there are like, 10 more things I want to reply to. *ignores signs of carpal tunnel*

Exactly. Now I associate it with that time during school. Eventually, one day...

Monofandomous.

That's the word! Exaaaactly.

Someone needs to make duels and gauntlets popular again...

aha. That would make sense. You know... I don't really listen to fanmixes. Odd, that, considering what a music whore I am. There are a lot of songs I tend to associate with fandom through watching fanvids, though, that's for sure. Such a Sia's 'Breathe Me'. That's a definite Firefly one now. Mal/Inara, I do believe.

Bwahaha. There's never an end! *joins you in ignoring the throbbing mass that used to be known as wrists*

Right, so this really is the most random and vague connection, but have you ever read The Scarlet Pimpernel? ♥♥♥

Further randomness! We, The Brane, have noticed you using "brane" as well *cackles evilly* I've been poked into explainin' things a bit for you, even though I'm the n00b of the group. They assembled themselves into a massive MSN chat group over on GateWorld, before whittling down to the current core group and meandering over here to LJ, but still primarily existing in MSN chat form. I recently joined and have become privy to some of their secrets. Such as the rampant adaption of typoes into the commonly used lexicon. Brane, fongers, typoe, spoliers, etc...

Also, if you are ever so inclined, and ever happen to somehow have a MSN-compatible account set up (you know, I think that your Yahoo would work with MSN, too, but just a warning, custom emoticons, a heavily used feature in the chats available only through MSN, wouldn't work)...um, where was I? Oh yeah, if you're ever so inclined, you have an open invite to get hit with the chat!brick join in. Just ask any of us online at the time *nods*

Because I can't explain something like the brane while on cough syrup. *nod*

And some things just come from reading something wrong, like "shickets", or merrin_delany wanted to spell it different, like the brane. It started as "our collective consciousness", and somehow grew, as our in jokes tend to do...

Ya know, since she's already saying "brane", maybe she's already been hit with the chat brick. :P

You know... I don't really listen to fanmixes.

Eh. Sometimes they're really, really good, but for the most part, you end up seeing the same songs for the same people/pairing over and over again.

I don't know if I know Sia's 'Breathe Me'...I'll have to look that one up!

Bwahaha. There's never an end!

I know! My brane (!) is on autopilot and yet I'm still here typing... (But hey, at least it's not drunk typing, heh.)

Right, so this really is the most random and vague connection, but have you ever read The Scarlet Pimpernel?

I haven't but for some reason it sounds familiar? Should I read it?

I wouldn't dream of skipping it over! :D

I don't know if I know Sia's 'Breathe Me'...I'll have to look that one up!
Heh, whoops. I always mix these up. In my Firefly folder I have a vid called Breathe Me, and then Breathe. The Inara/Mal one is just 'Breathe' by some Anna Nalick person. Breathe Me (also awesome) is a River vid. *so confused* Ah well, they're both good vids :P Ooh, I've managed to find the entry with Breathe Me. But darn it, the Breathe vid has disappeared from my site. If you're interested in it, I can upload the one I saved to my computer.

My brane (!) is on autopilot and yet I'm still here typing... (But hey, at least it's not drunk typing, heh.)
Your branefu is strong. Stronger than mine. My autopilot barely got me through making my icon post before I had to flat out collapse in bed.

Should I read it?
Yes! Yesyesyesyesyesyesyes!! *loves* Okay, so I suppose I shouldn't fangirl it too much before you read it, because I needn't be getting your expectations higher than is concievably met, but I adore that book. In fact, even though reading books online is quite the bugger of a task, and it's much preferable to have some solid paper in your hands, there's a site that has the entire collection available online. (if ya lose the link, I have it in my LJ sidebar) Apparently The Scarlet Pimpernel was such a success that she just kept on writing the stories! :D Also, it may come across as familiar because I'm fairly sure there was some broadway musical of sorts made of it.

Ahaha. I didn't even realize I did that! Branewashed, I tell ya! :P
*nods* We're very sneaky like that.
